These beautiful rugs are made from recycled plastic bottles but look and feel just like wool. They can be machine washed and fully recycled at the kerb side at end of life!

Caring for your Hug Rug Woven
To extend the life of your rug, minimise washing where possible. Dry brushing or vacuuming will remove most mud and marks.
For stains and stubborn marks machine wash at 30c using light detergent or non biological washing powder.
Washing on a high heat will damage fibres and increase fibre loss.
Use a shorter cycle if possible and reduce the spin speed. Wash as a full load.
Do not tumble dry.
Washing any textiles releases micro fibre. Hug Rugs Woven look just like wool but utilise a waste product - recycled plastic bottles. They are therefore a plastic product and will release plastic micro fibres when washing. Best practice for washing any textiles with plastic content is to wash in a Guppyfriend Bag or similar. As well as reducing friction and prolonging the life of your rug, this will collect any released fibres for safe disposal, preventing them from reaching the water stream.
